Management of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

About Course

Let me be direct with you. Running an SME in Kenya is not for the faint-hearted. Between managing cash flow, keeping up with compliance, and trying to grow while the ground keeps shifting beneath you, it is a daily test of resilience.

I have spent the last eighteen years working with MSMEs across this country—from the Jua Kali artisans in Gikomba to tech startups in Nairobi, from agribusinesses in Meru to retail chains fighting for space against the big players. I have seen what works and what does not. I have watched businesses scale and I have watched others collapse under the weight of the same challenges, simply because the founders did not have the right frameworks.

This course is the playbook I wish every entrepreneur had from day one.

The MSME sector is the backbone of Kenya’s economy. It accounts for the vast majority of private sector employment and contributes significantly to GDP. Yet, the failure rate within the first three years remains alarmingly high . The problem is rarely the idea. It is execution. It is management.

What I am offering here is not theory you will read and forget. It is practical, street-smart, battle-tested knowledge drawn from real Kenyan businesses, businesses that have survived economic downturns, policy shifts, and the kind of competition that would crush the unprepared.
